Its been 4 weeks since my collapsed lung and my?is would cryotherapy be ok to help with the swelling around the broken ribs?i also wanted to know if it was ok & i wouldnt be at risk w/ the lung collapsing again due to the extreme temperature change?

Was a chest tube inserted as treatment for the collapsed lung? If so, I assume the tube has been removed. It takes up to 12 weeks for rib fractures to heal. You must have a thoracic surgeon involved in your care and I would direct your questions about intercostal nerve cryoablation to him/her as many physicians have no experience with it.My sense is that therapy.wouldn't. risk the lung collapsing
