Could be . . .: Bronchitis could last for a while usually with these symptoms. However it could also be an allergy problem with post nasal drip and frequent throat clearing. The rib pain could be because you are coughing so frequently that your rib muscles are in spasm. You should see a physician to be diagnosed properly.

Not only OK, needed: Pulmonary symptoms of this duration with the pain and intensity you describe are more than reason enough for an immediate check up with your doctor. Blood tests and lung x-rays will likely be part of the examination. Good luck!
