Epidural fibrosis: Scar tissue commonly forms in the aftermath of spine surgery as part of the healing process. If the scar tissue encroaches on a nerve root or epidural space, it can become the cause of chronic neuropathic/nerve related pain. Regarding curvature in the spine, it may be secondary to trauma, genetic factors, spinal instability or a variety of other factors.
