Hi is it ok to take prozac 20mg and prochlorperazine (for vertigo) 5mg together. my doctor said it was fine. i'm also 26 weeks pregnant. my doctor still said it was fine to take them together. it's this ok. i'm just looking for reassurance. thanks?

I'm concerned about your taking prochlorperazine while pregnant especially in the absence of severe nausea or vomiting. Meclizine which is more commonly used to treat vertigo,,on the other hand, has been well studied in pregnancy and is considered safe for the baby. Prozac is considered a safe SSRI antidepressant during pregnancyI would validate this advice with your obstetrician& your pharmacist
