: The "fishy smell" may be due to Trichomonas, a parasite, which does not show up in cultures. See your gyn and ask for a "wet smear". Trichomonas is easily treated along with your partner, but make sure to treat any other sexual contacts either your partner or yourself has had, or it will re-occur.
