A member asked:

Do you have to fast for a b12 test? if i need to fast do i still take my morning medications? (cymbalta, lithium, buspar, (buspirone) and allegra)

No fast: If B12 is the only test you are having, there is no need to fast. Even if you need to fast you should take your medications and drink water. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
