Normal Piano playing ranges from 60-70 decibels. Piano Fortissimo ranges from 84-103 decibels. According to the CDC: noise above 70 dB over a prolonged period of time may start to damage your hearing. Loud noise above 120 dB can cause immediate harm to your ears. If your piano has a muting pedal, use it for practice times. If you play a keyboard, lower the volume.
