Fairly normal is a better term. Some do very well. Dialysis takes over some functions of the kidney but one can out ear dialysis and die quickly. Kidney and heart failure are complex diseases which require close monitoring and discussion with her specialist physicians. Here is a reference for appropriate foods, but you should consult with her Nephrologist.
