Cardiology Followup: Hi, If you were admitted as an inpatient, the type of work ups they do are strictly to rule out the presence of immediately life-threatening conditions. They are not always able to find a diagnosis in such a short period of time and many patients will still need outpatient follow up and testing to determine/treat the cause of their symptoms.
