Caution will be recommended in the process. While your frustration is understandable, under current circumstances and without proper transfer of medical records you are exposing yourself to high risk for gaps in care. You may want to first find a primary care doc that you will like more and then have your records transferred, most of the transferring work being done by you and your family.

As a primary care doctor, I see two sides to this issue. A few patients are so uncooperative that it is difficult trying to manage them, like trying to find out what medication they are on. Some patients have personality disorders and find faults with many doctors for no objective reason. There are some doctors who may not place sufficient focus on patient care.
