Any hearing issue is transient & treatment can wait. It may improve without treatment. I would not take steroids at a therapeutic dose for 3 weeks after any important vaccination. It can lessen the response or nullify it altogether.

If you take an immune suppressor, a vaccine will NOT do the job properly or at all. If you use an immune modulator, there may be a partial response and not as successful as hoped. Steroids such as prednisone, are modulators, so delay use for at least 3-4 weeks to not modify immune development of antibodies. You do not not want to subdue the plasma cell reaction, just to be fully effective.

I agree with Dr. Ferguson and Dr. Machanic. COVID 19 can kill you. The steroid use may mute effect of COVID 19 vaccine.. I would encourage you to discuss this with the provider who prescribed you prednisone.
