Hemorrhoids : In addition to the use of lubricating suppositories, it is important to add lots of fiber to your diet, lots of fluids, sit in a very warm bath at least 2-3 times daily, add more exercise to your daily routine, consider an over-the-counter probiotic daily to help with colon health. If all of these suggestions are followed and symptoms continue, consider a followup face-to-face appointment.

Same doc: Hemorrhoids are through their nature refractory and lifestyle changes should accompany any treatment. Your best move will be to give your treating doc a chance to weigh in as his or her knowledge of your case is still the best you got. If still no results, a second opinion would be appropriate.
