I have begin on 250mg (1 pill) twice a day of valtrex for my coldsores for a year now and i forgot to take one days wroth of pills and now i am having a large breakout is there anything more effective or a cure? or something i could take it with?

Pediatrician: Your pediatrician would be best to address. Preventive doses differ from treating doses when outbreaks occur. Unfortunately, there is no known cure for herpes/ cold sores that resolve and reoccur.
