Is it normal to be on day 3 or 4 of a cold sore and it still tingle? i took valtrex day 1 and the sore is now scabbed over but keeps tingling. is this normal or is another sore coming on before the first one has even finished healing?

Usually the tingle sensation resolves after a few days. However, the soreness can remain for a while. Make sure that you are taking the correct dose of the valtrex. See dermatologist for confirmation.
