High salt: 50F asks; Will the baby have higher than normal blood pressure from my high salt diet? ANS: that depends if your baby has salt sensitive high blood pressure. Experiments in rats show that a high salt diet in the mother increases BP in the pups. But this may not apply to you. Difficult to measure BP in a newborn as well.
