Dry mouth ?'s: A sweet and salty" taste along with dry lips, etc., may indicate diabetic keto acidosis. See your internist for a glucose tolerance test and management of potential type 2 diabetes. This can also happen with attempts at weight loss by consuming much less than average calories over intervals.
