Sciatica: Home remedies like good posture, Ice, heat, stretching exercises can help. For acute pain - Anti-inflammatory pain medications and muscle relaxants as needed. Physical therapy for correcting posture, strengthening back muscles and to improve flexibility. Xray of back and eventually MRI spine, if worsening pain or radiculopathy and see Physiatry to discuss Epidural/Steroid injections.

Some approaches: Agree with Dr Chotai. Have had success over time utilizing specific McKenzie Back Exercises, once acute symptoms are under control. Swimming seems to help many patients, but warm water Physical Therapy may be best early on. Certainly consider the prior advice as an excellent starting point.
