A member asked:

Can muscle injury lower white blood count?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Steven Simon answered

No: Injury to a muscle will not affect white blood cell count as they are not dependent on muscle as such. If the injury is caused by infection, then WBC will rise as body fights the infection.

Dr Machanic agreed
