Good day ive been using valsartan for hypertension reasons but had to stop because it causes me epididymitis, now i use atorvastatin and its giving me vivid dreams. is there anything better i can use with less side effects ?

Medication : You can speak to a doctor about changing your medication. I remember and a patient who had 20 medications on her allergy list, but when you continue to ask her details about the side effects you come to realize she did not want any medication because she believed that all medication is bad for her. Sometimes patients express concerns indirectly

Many options: There are many other options for above mentioned meds used for different conditions. The side effects you developed are not typical and best to weigh in will be your treating doc who has knowledge of your medical situation, conditions being treated and previous response to therapy.

Does Valsartan 40mg have any effect on bp? Only FDA approved at 80mg and up for hypertension. Currently getting 117/71, was getting 107/65 with 80mg, wondering how higher will it go if I stop taking it. BP used to be persistent 130s/80s?
I read that Valsartan lowers blood pressure by 8-10 points but when I took 80mg I went down to 107/60s from 130s/80s after a couple of months. Now I take 40mg and get around 118-123/70s. Only 80mg is FDA approved for hypertension so what's going on?
