Acid reflux : Hi, the medication is likely pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that can reduce stomach acid. Acid reflux can be one of the reason why this medicine is used, especially if other common antacid medication does not work (TUMS, pepcid etc). Following up with your doctor is a good a idea to see if you are getting better or not.
