I was diagnosed with sub clinical hypothyroidism. my tsh was 8.3 and i had classic hypothyroidism symptoms. didnt take replacement therapy because my tsh was lower than 10. months later tsh was 3.3 and i was still having symptoms. why was it low?

Sick thyroid syn.: Sick thyroid syndrome is becoming increasingly common and better described over the last decades. Usually a systemic disease, such as an infection is causing transient malfunction of the thyroid and your description seems to fit the picture. Follow up with same doc is critical specifically if having lingering symptoms.
