Allergic reaction: Measure the area and keep a photo record of the possible local allergic reaction. Apply ice, an antihistamine lotion mixed with calamine. If there is rapid increase in the size of the area, pus, increasing pain or breathing difficulty, please see your pediatrician right away. Discuss allergy panel testing and the use of pediatric EPI PEN with your provider. A virtual HT consult is available.
