I took my 5 year old son to a dr today. the dr said his glands were swollen and his throat was red and he may have gastro. she gave him zithromax with neurofen and calpol alternated. we have started meds but his temp is still at 38, what should i do?

Wait: Please give the medication at least 2 days to improve his symptoms. If he has a viral illness, the antibiotic is not effective and the illness usually has a duration of 7-10 days. Use yogurt as a probiotic, avoid other dairy products until well. Provide fluids and monitor temperature.
