Saw a dermatologist today thinking i had genital warts, but he diagnosed folliculitis. prior to visit i picked at them like crazy. he said makes no difference hes positive its folliculitis. possible he couldve misdiagnosed?

The concept: In healthcare we are warned never to say always or never. Exceptions do happen occasionally. I would trust the exam of a qualified dermatologist more than your self labeling with the assist of doc internet. If you don't like the label you can go get a 2nd/3rd & 4th opinion. It's your time & money.

Unlikely: Dermatologists are good at that diagnosis so chances are he is right. Did he do a 'staining test'? follow his RX and if not better see him again
