Basic effort: Sips of fluid may trigger enough muscle action in the swallow tube to milk the sweet down into the stomach. If it makes it there it will eventually be digested. If the kid cannot get fluids down even in small quantity dehydration will be an emerging threat so you should try this & take the kid in if it does not work.

As long as she has no respiratory issues, she should be just fine. The sweet will pass through. But, if your child is having difficulty breathing and turning blue , you need to take her to the nearest emergency room or call your local emergency services!
