I got a 4th generation hiv test at 24 weeks and it was non-reactive. Is the 24 weeks considered 6 months and is it conclusive ? Any chances the test would miss either antibodies or p24 antigens? I want to move on from this and need closure on this?
So if I take a hiv 4 generation combo test at 4 months after exposure (unprotected vaginal sex) will it miss the p24 antigen at this point and if so will pick up the antibodies. Is it possible both will be absent at 4 months. Why 6 months wait?
