I was told 10lpm o2 is dangerous to smokers, i'm prescribed that for clusters. is it safe? i don't smoke around the o2. dont know if dr knows i smoke.

Most likely safe: Oxygen use in smokers is ok, where the problem is--> dont ever use oxygen and light up. You will burn you face/nasal cavity as oxygen is highly flammable and should never be around an open flame.

Depends: In the setting of high o2, it is possible to decrease the body's drive to breath if there is significant COPD you may not have bad enough COPD for this to be a problem - depends on how much you have smoked and your lungs. Smoking is the main cause of COPD - do not wait for this to be a problem - stop now. Don't take a chance of setting yourself on fire smoking and using o2. It's dramatic.
