Autistic Spectrum : Disorder (ASD) 1, with IQ in the normal range, has the same multifactorial genetic &/or epigenetic causes as more severe levels of ASD. White matter of the brain around its ventricles is most easily damaged by lack of blood flow & oxygen late in the 2nd semester; < 10% of cases of CP, Intellectual Disability &/or seizures from Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy occur during labor & delivery.

We don't know the: exact cause of Aspergers, autism in general, bi-polar or ADHD, even though we have identified genetic markers for all. We do know that if the mother is using drugs while pregnant that the chances go up for the baby to develop any of these, but again, this is NOT a one-to-one correlation. Lack of O2 is correlated with learning disabilities, as well, so it could be a factor.
