No/change: At that size you can certainly stop night feeds. There are 2 important issues to avoid night feeds. First, never feed them closer than 1/2 hr prior to bedtime. If they incorporate into the sleep ritual they require it to go back to sleep on night waking. Second, begin reducing night feed quantity & then switch to water. They will adjust over a week or so & stop waking to feed.

Growth/development: If your son is otherwise healthy and developing normally, the night feedings may be stopped. He should have three meals and two snacks in addition to his formula daily. A variety of fruits, vegetables, rice cereal/grains and lean protein are important components of his diet and help to reduce night hunger. Review his growth chart with his pediatrician.
