Hard one: We wish we knew. Some babies sleep through the night at 2-3 mo and some are 2y/o and still wake up at 2-3 am. Many experts recommend not attending to child right away. Let them try and settle themselves a bit say 5-10 min and if no success go ahead and attend to them. Try to space this time out a little more each time. It is VERY HARD to do (as a parent I know this). Discuss with your doc.

Baby: There are many reasons why a baby will wake during the night. First take a look at the baby's environment and make sure the baby is not too warm or too cold. The baby may wake to feed or just to be cuddled. if all these practices are being done then speak with your doctor to rule out reflux.
