Driving Anxiety: Is your anxiety while driving only when going to work? Is it that your job makes you anxious, the traffic, inconsiderate drivers, or fear of being late? You may need to talk this out with a psychologist, but if you leave home a half our earlier you'll give yourself plenty of time to get there no matter what the traffic or weather and many of your potential concerns are eliminated.

CBT: Not sure what the source of your anxiety is. If this has become a pattern for you, you might want to consider a short course of cognitive behavioral therapy to get past this. At age 48, expect you will probably be driving to work for a while. Take care.

?driving phobia: Were you involved in a motor vehicle accident? Is anxiety only while driving? Is this chronic and persistent? Agree with Dr Fowler regarding success of cognitive behavioral therapy.. Biofeedback could also help
