SECOND OPINION: As a young female your gums should be in good condition and also your teeth. If you are under a lot of stress and grind your teeth you could be wearing away your enamel causing sensitivity to your teeth. Since you said nothing was wrong, i suggest you seek another dentist for a second consultation.

Tooth soreness: At your age most probable causes are cavities, grinding/clenching, pernicious habits, fractures, & malocclusion. Report your concerns to ourDentist and request a re-evaluation. You may also wish to seek a second opinion (take your x-rays with you) from a different General Dentist or a specialist in Oral Pathology, or you can schedule to be examined at one of Pennsylvania's 3 Dental Schools.

Sensitivity: Few people get sensitivity after cleaning which goes away in few days . Ask your Dentist to prescribe you Tooth paste for sensitive teeth .
