Constipation child: RestoraLAX is a stool softener that recruits water into stool. It is to be used only for short periods. Taking it for a month is too long. Try increasing fiber containing foods such as whole fruits and vegetables, increase her water intake to 1 liter daily and add apple or pear juice 3-4 ounces twice a day. Avoid heavy foods containing dairy and high fat content.
