Need more info: What you described could be an occasional oversight, however, it would be prudent to see a neurologist to rule out early phase of dementia. You are younger than the usual age for Alzheimer's, but early onset can happen. Wish you good health!

Maybe MCI: Memory loss commences with "mild cognitive impairment", and an MRI can miss changes in brain anatomy early on in the course. Cognitive problems secondary to medication, sleep disruption, vitamin deficiency, thyroid problems, etc., appear as we age. Would not hurt to see a neurologist as it appears this has been present for a while.

Memory: In addition to other advice received I encourage you not to let your mind run away w/you. There are many possibilities. Please see your doctor. Anxiety interferes w/memory and that in itself can help. Peace and good health.
