I'm 5 weeks pregnant. i have a clogged nose. is it safe for me to use flomist that contains fluticasone propionate 50ug, identified as category c? what alternative should i use if unsafe?

DRUGS IN PREGNANCY: There are drugs which are deemed unable to reach the fetus in first trimester and the baby who is breast-feeding and your pharmacist, doctor or label should indicate which these are. The US FDA has recently re-categorized which drugs are safe (if necessary) and which are not--these may be found online in South Africa. Don't take a Category C Drug.
