Nasal sprays: Have you tried nasal irrigations with clean water with some salt? Boil the water before using. Otrivine is a nasal decongestant spray while avamys is a corticosteroid nasal spray used to treat allergic nasal symptoms. They can be used together but space them apart. Ortrivine: Why see a doctor if you don't want to follow medical advice? Your doctor is absolutely correct about Ostrivine (or Afrin). In ZA, the recommendation is to limit use to 7 days or less. However, I have recommended shorter periods than that. If you continue using Ostrivine beyond that period, it will become less effective over time & you will develop rebound effects.
