Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Hematuria: There must be a reason for doing a cytology test to begin with. Since it came back showing an abnormality it is imperative that you have additional evaluation to find the cause of the the blood in the urine. You should see a urologist for further evaluation which should include x-rays and cystoscopy.
