Follow surgeon : A neurologist might have an opinion. However it has been my experience of 6-12 months time is required for nerve rehabilitation. Continue with physical therapy when given the ok by your surgeon. Very important. Ask surgeon for any questions you may have.

Nerve damage: Basic concepts: if damage to the coverings of the nerve(s), recovery in 3-4 weeks; damage to axon, recovery at speed of fingernail growth @ 0.1mm daily. Your timing suggests the latter, so will take a long time. Persevere with rehab.
