Low O2 sat: You don't mention whether you have chronic pulmonary disease. If you do most clinicians prefer you to have O2 saturation in the low 90's but I would be guided by your physicians instructions. This is especially important in determining oxygen therapy flow levels or adjusting them higher or lower.

Uncertain: I agree with earlier response. Do you have access to supplemental oxygen because you have chronic lung disease. Oxygen dipping to 88 to 89 is low but we don't know if your O2 levels are chronically low to begin with. Recommend that you discuss this with your personal physician who can put this into context with your normal health status.
