Thrush: I believe that the effective treatment of oral thrush requires a prescription medication but there are OTC products your pharmacist can recommend if you prefer.

HELP THE BODY...: The symptoms are common with thrush--infection from overgrowth of yeast. Your mouth may be too dry & have low bacteria count from antibiotics (doxycycline), thus yeast overgrowth. Drink plenty of water. Prednisone hinders your ability to control yeast overgrowth also. Dentists recommend: probiotics, oil pulling, or rinse (5-6x daily) with baking soda, sea salt, colloidal silver, or oregano oil.
