Is it safe to go to the emergency room for a non-coronavirus related medical condition? obviously im a bit hesitant because of the coronavirus. i live in new york city where the coronavirus is thriving. thank you very much?

Understandable: Many patients are concerned about covid, as they should be. Not sure what your non-covid condition is... is it really an emergency, or can you be seen by an out-patient urgent care clinic? Either way you will be safe.

Risk/benefit: Probably safer now, nothing is 100% proof. Use common sense otherwise and try an office if possible. If having a primary cate doc, have them coordinate if possible.
