Weight gain: Weight and BMI tell you nothing about the ratio of fat to lean body mass in your body. Obesity is excessive body fat and to determine this you need to measure your body composition. There are some inexpensive scales that use bioelectrical impedance to measure body composition and these readings give you a rough estimate of your body composition. Looking muscular is a good sign.
