Brain aneurysm coiled 7 yrs ago. migraine aura returned told possible cause is platlet activation on coils. is this common very worried. if so why would this happen after all this time? also what can be done? thank you?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

? migraine: Migraine auras and headaches have innumerable potential triggers, and prior neurological events can setup future cascades of neurochemical dysfunction. If platelet activation is truly the mechanism, a platelet inhibitor like ASA could help. However, if this is truly migraine aura, could break up a pattern via use of a migraine preventative, and I would propose trying the latter first.
