Did a educational assessment on my son and they said he must see a neurologist. do i take him or do i do something else first?

His doc : Have him first evaluated by his pediatrician in order to get a better sense of the services needed. His pediatrician will be able to further coordinate and monitor his treatment.

General advice: Since you do not indicate why the referral was made, it is not feasible to agree or disagree. Depending upon age, there may be a variety of different problems, and I would agree with seeing family physician first and then proceeding.
