Variable: A concussion is a complex brain injury that is unique to the circumstances, age and health of the individual. The concussion can take from 3 weeks to 6 months to show significant improvement. If the concussion comes at a time of illness, other injury or previous concussions, the healing time can be longer.

Variable: Would love to predict this, but much depends on the intensity, duration of loss of consciousness, and presence of prior head trauma. Athletes with concussions are restricted for 4-6 weeks. Many folks recover after a few days, but might take up to 6 weeks to return to normal. One caveat, if concussion is complicated by structural brain injury, recovery is far slower. Your doctor should follow.
