To Doctor now: Your child needs a neurological evaluation this morning. The fact that he vomited could signify a more serious problem than a concussion. Take him to the er now.

Close observation: If the vomiting was after crying, may not be a problem. Vomiting, transient amnesia, loss of consciousness, change in behavior, excessive sleepiness are signs of concussion and intracranial bleed causing significant brain compression. These are the symptoms you monitor. Ice pack on the head may help.

Speak to your doctor: He may have had a mild concussion, but if he is doing well now I would not worry.
