Scalp pain: may take a year to resolve. If you injured a cutaneous nerve and it tried to regrow from its origin and came up against an obstacle (such as scar tissue between the skull and skin) It may form a neuroma. If this is the case tenderness may persist for years. These are issues that are of course separate from the myriad cognitive / behavioral issues that may arise following a single TBI.
