Different approaches: Surgeons may take different approaches depending on their training and experiences. If the hematoma is expanding and the patient is on blood thinners and an arterial source is suspected or skin compromise is anticipated, evacuation with drainage and control of the bleeding source are indicated. If the bleeding stops and the skin is intact, other surgeons may be conservative with aspiration at 10ds.

Evacuation : Staples should be removed and hematoma needs to be evacuated to prevent infection and deformity.
