Pharmacist: I suggest that you talk to your pharmacist as long term exposure to the aluminum in gaviscon may cause metabolic effects such as low serum phosphate. In addition long term use of aluminum containing agents has shown to cause aluminum deposits in various tissues including the brain. I don't know whether the low concentration in gaviscon could be a problem with once daily use. Ask your pharmacist
