A member asked:

I have acid reflux and because of it i also have esophagitis i have been taking nexium while it does seem to reduce acid reflux it doesn't seem to be fully treating it... should i change it? i also have gaviscon i wasn't prescribed it should i use it?

It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. If you are overweight, losing weight is imperative for reducing reflux. It would be prudent to see a doctor, preferably a GI specialist. Wish you good health!
